Call in the BOM Squad. Another Testament of Jesus Christ

Preach My Gospel is a great missionary resource. A lot of people think its just for the full time missionaries, but i'ts not. There should be a PMG in 'every member's home. I'm glad you're studying from it.

"A Book of Mormon in every home" that is our district motto for this transfer. Here is what happened. There is a missionary named Elder Rice. He was my ZL until he got transferred to Reno North. Anyway, he is a stud and a very hard worker. He would hold a BOM in his hand wherever he went. He committed us all to do the same. So our area isn't doing so well. Destiny's parents won't let us see her and our other investigators are not progressing. Then it hit me. We need to flood the area. We need to call in the BOM Squad and flood the area with the Book of Mormon. So I called up our ZL's and told them to bring us a whole box of BOMs. A box contains 40 BOM's. Then i called Elder Rice in the Reno North Zone and challenged him. I threw down the gauntlet. I told him that our little district of 4 missionaries will pass out more BOMs in a week than his entire zone of 20 missionaries. He accepted of course and we got to work.

So this week has been all tracting, focusing on the Book of Mormon. We keep a Book of Mormon in hand. You never know when you'll need it. If I faint in the middle of the street because of the heat, I will still have a Book of Mormon in hand (don't worry I drink a lot of water so that I won't faint). There needs to be a Book of Mormon in every home. We've seen success. I know that the Lord has blessed us because of our faith and diligence. I know that if we keep it up and flood the area, that the work will take off. I may not be around to see it but I'm confident that the work will go forth boldly, nobley and independent in this area. But just like Ammon of old, "I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God. Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast in my God, for in his strength I can do all things.... for which I will praise His name forever." Alma 26:11-12

Shall we not go on in so great a cause? Let us all press on.
